The Imaging Wind and Rain Airborne Profiler (IWRAP)

Mounted aboard NOAA P-3 Orion Aircraft

Conically scanning pencil-beam dual C- and Ku-band Doppler Radar and Scatterometer; 30° and 50° incidence angles.

3-Dimensional reflectivity and doppler velocity profiles from near-aircraft level to surface interface.

Doppler spectrum processing methods developed for enhanced 3-D and surface wind retrievals.
