NOAA NESDIS/STAR Ocean Winds Team — Products & Personnel

The Ocean Winds Team (OWT) develops, validates, and operationally transitions near-real-time (NRT) satellite and airborne ocean surface wind and related geophysical products derived from microwave radiometers, scatterometers, and GNSS-R instruments. The portfolio spans more than 100 individual products across current NRT operations, archived past missions, and instruments currently in pre-operational development. Products support the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Ocean Prediction Center (OPC), Alaska Weather Forecast Offices, and allied agencies. The tables below document each product group with links and the team members responsible for management, scientific architecture, development, and operational support.
