Data from Satellite/Instruments: QuikSCAT/SeaWinds ScatterometerThe QuikSCAT nominal mission ended on November 23, 2009. QuikSCAT was launched in 1999 and was already operating 7 years beyond its design life. The NASA/JPL press release and a blog that Jeff Masters wrote contain some additional information.
